85th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad

In the period from 15th to 21st May 2018, Novi Sad Fair will host the 85th International Agricultural Fair where 1500 exhibitors from 30 countries will be presented. The International Agricultural Fair is the largest and most important exhibition of agriculture in the Central and South Eastern Europe. For 85 years it has been the leading event of the City of Novi Sad, Vojvodina, and Serbia, and at the same time a strong support to the Serbian economy. Novi Sad is globally well- known for another event – EXIT summer music festival, which brings to Serbia tens of thousands visitors from all around the world.

The Agricultural Fair held in May gathers all important agricultural actors in this part of Europe as well as representatives of other branches of the economy that rely on and are associated with agriculture. The Agricultural Fair presents the most state-of-the art achievements in agriculture and applied science in agriculture, organic food exhibition, national cattle exhibitions, bulls weighting almost two tons, harvesters costing more than 700,000 Euros, tractors of around 500,000 Euros, various products and services from the most distant parts of the world.

An exceptionally important segment comprises business and professional gatherings, focussing on the most current topics, always including the transfer of knowledge and experience. Direct meetings of business persons from all over the world at the International Business Meetings AgroB2B are attended by more and more participants every year.

In comparison to the previous year, there will be significantly more companies from Turkey, Italy, the Netherlands, and Romania, and there will be companies from Russia, Tunisia, UK and Luxembourg, which were not present at the fair last year. France as the country will be the friend of the Fair. On 10 joint exhibitions Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, China, Hungary, Spain, and Tunisia will be jointly presented.

This year again the cattle auction will be held within the cattle breeding exhibition. Unlike the previous year, when only cattle were at an auction, on Friday, 18th May, the auction will also include horses, pigs, sheep, and goats. The auction will be held in the Manège of Novi Sad Fair, and it begins at 1 p.m. The sponsor of the cattle breeding exhibition is the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management. The sponsor of the cattle breeder’s day is “STO POSTO” company from Velika Plana.

During the fair, on 18th and 19th May, the Congress Centre will be the venue of the Spring Wine Festival, gathering 100 producers who will promote the highest-quality wines and brandies from this region.

Probably the most important segment of the Fair is the exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment, which comprises one third of the open-air exhibition area. Everything that has been exhibited on the most prestigious fairs and expos will also be exhibited in Novi Sad.

An important segment of the fair comprises direct meetings of business persons from all over the world at the International Business Meetings AgroB2B. For participation at the International Business Meetings AgroB2B, the B2B platform AgroB2B@NSFair will be available to all interested companies, and this platform can be used for business persons to present their businesses to new partners and to find new markets for their products and services.

The sponsors of this fair are the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Novi Sad.

The Agricultural Fair will be held in the period from Tuesday 15th to Monday 21st May 2018. The fair working hours: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
